REVIEW: China Glaze Fast Forwarding Top Coat

Yes we all know, i suck at reviews 

but omg this product is GOOD . so i thought i would need to mention it

China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat

Now my HG topcoat is Seche Vite and when it decided to go all gloopy and thick on me, i really didnt have the funds to get another bottle, especially if it was gna turn out like that and it wasnt even finished!

Anywho, on the recommendation of Wendy, (who i did a swap with here) i bought this. 

And it does everything Seche Vite does, well in my opinion, and cheaper too!

However, the one downfall.. it smells! Its like a bag full of chemicals. 

If you dont like strong smells, i dont recommend you getting this.

Shrinkage? ummm depends on the nail polish you're using. Ive only used this a couple of times, and i can say that with most of my nail polishes , it doesnt tend to shrink. 

To concludeee im really happy with this product

&will definitely be repurchasing!

Mac's Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder

Mac says: A silky finishing powder that provides an invisible way to set makeup. Reduces shine while optically minimizing the look of pores, lines, imperfections. Available in one universal colour that suits all shades. Wear over makeup or on bare, moisturized skin.

Why did i buy it you ask?

I wanted a powder to set my concealer with and my trusty e.l.f had ran out of their high definition powder, and it was taking foreverrrrrrr for them to get it back in stock, and i needed a powder! 

Anyways to the point of this post.. 

Question:

What do you use your powder for?.

I know ima use mine for setting my concealer, but i just wanted to know if yous have any recommendations

Rant

Selfridges Mac im looking at you! 

I popped today to get christmas presents for my friends, and i quickly picked up what i needed and got ready to pay

howeverrrrrrrrrrrrr there was noone at the tills. (btw theres about 6) nothing wrong there i thought they was all busy helping other customers. 

but right to the middle bit there were 3 woman all huddled up

i walked up to them and waited for them to end their conversation before i would hassle seeing as they were in deep conversation. Lemme tell you it took foreverrrrr and a day for one to notice me, and i asked NICELY if would of them could serve me quickly, she goes no and, points to another SA and they'll help me. smirked and turned back to join the conversation. kissed my teeth and turned round.. Now there was 1 till that was 'open' and there were about 5 people in the queue, i huffed joining the line.  

And when i got to the till the woman wasnt really nice, didnt ask if i needed anything else just rang up the items and thats it. 

Ive been here before, and i was treated nicely. no hassle whatsoever. tut

but the woman who helped me before wasnt anywhere to be seen today. 

SO FRUSTRATED. SERIOUSLY SA'S MUST THINK THEY ARE SUPERIOR OR SOMETHING. 

IM THE ONE WHOS BUYING. AND YOU'RE WORKING.

Swap w/ Wendy :)

I havent done a swap in a while, and i was glad that Wendy agreed to do a swap with me :)
Her package got there a bit quicker than mine, you can read/look at what i got her, here
 you know with all the snow in England my package got a lil delayed. But thats alright because the things inside was worth the wait!

Im backkkkk :)

WATCH OUT FOR MORE POSTS as, well, yous know ive been lacking recently. 

thats partly due to the 7000 essay i had, presentation and my birthday. 

just did the presentation today, and we did it in Unilever 0_0

i was sooooo nervous, but it went better than i expected.

the dude at unilever who watched our presentation said my groups presentation was "strong"

& im finally on christmas break, it feels like semester 1 was just taking agesss.

ive got 2 exams to prepare for in Jan and another presentation

oh gosh, but now party! lol

i need to get started on my christmas shopping =S 

everywhere is jammed packed grr

Seche vite problem solved

You might have seen my earlier post asking for a cheaper alternative for the famous

Seche Vite. 

I was gna get the china glaze fast forward top coat, on wendy's recommendation, but that isnt easy to find =S 

the only place that ive seen it being sold is sallys beauty supply and the closest one near me is like 40mins away!. and my nails were suffering! come on a week with the same nail polish.

for me? naaaaa

So i placed an order with asos, and got my Seche Vite :).. student discount included! 

 And they changed the packaging!. 

I thought i got a bargin.. but on monday, my dad had a day off and because of the tube strikes i didnt go college, we journeyed off to the discount nail supply store.

..and they sold Seche Vite and the China Glaze fast forward topcoat for £4.50 each

anyways, this store sells nail polish for cheap

such as, essie is only £4

Two Lipsticks..

Took these lipsticks from my mums makeup bag

- Mac's lipstick in Touch (a lustre finish)
- Estee Lauder pure colour long lasting lipstick in Fig

Top: Estee Lauder
Bottom: Mac

I love these two colours.

They're completely different from the ones i own

Especially the mac one. If you dont know by now, i L O V E lustre finishes.

Anyways i just thought i'd share.

I'd never seen someone talking about 'Touch' so you know i was curious when i saw this.

I would defo recommend!

even just go to a mac counter store and swatch it. 

i think it would look nice on any skin complexion :)

but you can hardly tell (well thats what people have been telling me)

Anyways what i currently have on my nails is.. Rimmels 60 seconds polish is '619 pulsating'

And i like it. I think im going to buy more colours from Rimmel now. :)

Oh excuse the messy application, i fixed that up after i took the pictures cos i know if i left it i would've forgotten

Oh + after college today i took a peak inside lush and got one of their lip scrubs. 

(For one of our modules at college, we have to adapt a product or come up with a totally new product, and we decided that ours would be a lip scrub, so you can call this research! lol)

I would defo recommend this product.

Yes its £4.50 but you only, well i only need, like the tiniest amount to put onto my lips for a good scrub.

And i am certainly liking this flavour! something about lemon just appeals to me!

I defo want to try the mint one though, cos i heard it gives that plumping effect.

I know i said that you'll only need the tiniest amount, but the expiry date for mine is Jan2011. and that seems close!

So new year, new scrub :)

HELP

My trusty seche vite is nearly gone!

Like i have to literally tip the bottle upside down to get the brush like dipped?

i aint good at explaining! lol. but you get the idea. right?

Ive tried many topcoats, even got the sally hansen diamond shine one, but it doesnt compare to seche vite, now the point of this posst.. 

cheaper alternative? pleaseeee

in the back of my mind, im thinking i cant go back. not after my trusty seche vite is there a topcoat just as good as seche vite but without the hefty price tag?
